Looking for an interior designer in Paris?

You have a refitting/renovation project, but the technical complexity is holding you back?

‘Undertaking the complete renovation of a large apartment in Paris while living in Hong Kong during the Covid epidemic was a challenge. We were lucky to find Herold Design to meet this challenge with flying colors. Lionel Barde and his team respected our general views of what we wanted to achieve and, through long distance dialogue, oriented our choices particularly with regards to color scheme and the choice of materials. The execution was excellent down to the most minute detail. We are absolutely delighted with the result : an elegant and modern environment while preserving the Art Deco original architecture’

As non-French residents, we do not have good experiences with building and renovating in our own country. We were therefore a bit apprehensive about starting a major renovation in Paris. But with Herold Design, we had the best experience of all our projects to date! Our fears turned out to be completely unfounded, thanks to our brilliant collaboration with Herold Design. This was already evident when requesting quotes from three firms. Herold Design was the only firm that did not make vague promises and predicted a realistic budget, along with a tight schedule. We opted for an approach where we first received several design proposals. Once we chose our favorite from among them, Herold Design further developed it in detail: more detailed plans, an elaborated timeline, but also a detailed budgetary forecast. We only had to be physically present in Paris a few times to choose the materials and finishes together with Herold Design. Which were also enjoyable outings every time! Furthermore, everything else was managed remotely. We received a weekly update with photos of the progress of the work, explanations, and decisions we still needed to make. Both the design and the execution were carried out with great expertise. Herold Design possesses distinct expertise in allowing you, as a resident, to make the most of a limited space. Their creativity and technical knowledge are extensive, yet at the same time, Herold Design is open to our suggestions, ideas, mood boards, etc., which they consistently incorporated into the overall design. Thanks to this symbiosis, we always achieved a result where the advantages and disadvantages were carefully considered. Herold Design also consistently pointed out to us when certain of our new choices or additional wishes would take longer to execute or cost more. They also spontaneously offered alternative suggestions each time. Nevertheless, Herold Design's original timing and budget were a perfect estimate, from which deviations were only consciously made due to our own well-considered choices. The end result is a beautiful spot in Paris. Completely to our liking, beautifully finished (delivered polished down to the last detail!), and fully compliant to meet current and sustainable expectations regarding water and electricity consumption. So for a pleasant collaboration, where timing and budget are perfectly respected, with a creative and high-end result, and all this remotely: one address, Herold Design!

Excellent company! Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Herold Design in Paris for your service on my interior design study project. Even though the study didn't proceed exactly as we had originally anticipated, I really appreciate how efficient, flexible, and thoughtful your team was whenever we threw questions or challenges your way. When we weren't fully prepared to move forward and needed to pause, you were incredibly understanding, patient, and accommodating. Your excellent international service and seamless communication made the whole process completely stress-free for me! I'd love to work with you again in the future when it's possible.

Life holds wonderful surprises. I'd kept Herold Design in my contacts for a long time. You live with Lionel and Jolanta to exchange ideas, discuss, decide, approve, reject, and share proposals for the layout of your future home. You enter your new space: It's like a hotel. I wish everyone who dreams of one day embarking on this magnificent life project and adventure could meet this dynamic duo like Lionel and Jolanta. With their passion and attention to detail, they exceeded my expectations. I am so happy in my new haven.

I entrusted my apartment to Lionel and Jolanta while I was abroad. As an engineer myself, I can say that their technical approach to the renovations was excellent. The final result is not what I expected. It's so much better! Jolanta provided excellent guidance throughout the entire project. I particularly appreciated the team's dynamism; being abroad, I thought it might present difficulties, but it didn't at all. On the contrary, they managed to handle all the little unexpected issues on the construction site for me. As proof of my satisfaction, I entrusted them with the renovation of a second apartment; I know I won't be disappointed.

Last year, we entrusted HEROLD DESIGN with the complete renovation of our Boulogne duplex (living room, dining room, upstairs, bathroom, bedroom). Knowing Lionel Barde well, I had already had the opportunity to admire some of his previous work. The result is stunning, and we are delighted. We appreciated the preparation phase, the attentive listening the team consistently demonstrated, and the personalized appointments with each supplier to choose the right materials and furniture together. Well done and thank you, Lionel and Jolanta!
