Own in Paris, renovate from anywhere

Your renovation project in Paris—even remotely!

Renovating a pied-à-terre or a Haussmannian apartment from abroad requires an exceptional approach.

The scope of work, your availability, and each approval stage are defined together in advance. Communication is planned and organized to guarantee your complete peace of mind, with no rushed decisions, ensuring smooth and transparent management.

At Herold Design, we handle the study, design, and complete project management with a single point of contact, right up to delivery.

Uncompromising remote project management

How do you track your project remotely?

  • Real-time updates. A detailed report featuring photos and videos is sent to you via email and a private WhatsApp group dedicated to your project.
  • Constant availability. The team remains reachable 24/7.
  • You stay in control. Remote management never replaces the need for your approval on decisions that alter the project or its budget.

How does your project unfold?

1. Initial contact

You present your project to us: location, floor area, the specific nature of the work, room-by-room requirements, your desired timeline, and your budget. We respond in writing and outline the terms of the study before any commitment is made.

2. Study and design

Site visit. An initial meeting is arranged on-site with our interior architect to analyze your requirements and any technical constraints.

Measurements and assessment. A complete survey of the existing space and a technical photographic record.

Architectural design. Several proposed floor plans are presented to you. Following discussions, we finalize a master plan that serves as the foundation for all technical drawings: existing conditions, proposed layout, demolition, masonry, electrical, millwork/joinery, and sections/elevations for kitchens and bathrooms.

Immersion. Creation of 3D perspectives to fully visualize your future interior.

Collaborative validation. Meetings at the studio or via video conference to approve each stage of the design process.

3. Quotation and material selection

Once the design phase is complete, an initial budgeting session is held, outlining the scope of work by trade: demolition, masonry, electrical, plumbing, stonework/marble, millwork, kitchen, bathroom, painting, furniture, and decoration.

The detailed quotation is prepared after the service agreement is signed and is delivered within 10 days. The associated fees are fully deductible from the final project cost if the work proceeds.

Throughout the project, we personally guide you in selecting materials through private showroom visits or by presenting physical samples digitally.

Our expertise covers all finishes: paint, marble and ceramics, wood flooring, polished concrete, custom millwork (walk-in closets, bookcases), cabinetry fronts, lighting, mirrors and glasswork, fixtures and sanitary ware, kitchens and appliances, veneers, wall cladding, fabrics, drapery and trimmings, furniture, art, and accessories.

The final scope of work is fully documented before execution begins. If your project includes furnishings or decoration, these are specified in the service agreement.

4. Construction

Herold Design coordinates all contractors and manages day-to-day progress. You receive a detailed weekly report, including technical photo documentation, items requiring approval, and the schedule for the upcoming week.

5. Handover

Following final checks, the handover is formally finalized through the signing of an acceptance certificate.

Do you need to travel to Paris during the renovation?

No. Our workflow is designed so that you do not have to.

We independently manage projects—whether standard, bespoke, or exceptional—for international clients with demanding schedules. You are under no obligation to visit the site. Our rigorous weekly digital updates allow you to view progress in minute detail, in real time.

Procedures for approvals, representation, and handover are established beforehand, tailored to your specific situation.

Our range of services

Depending on the agreed scope, our services may include: design studies, technical drawings, material selection, coordination of tradespeople, management of co-ownership issues and liaison with the property manager, full site supervision, and complete interior styling (furniture, accessories, contemporary art).

The quote provides a detailed breakdown of each trade, estimated material costs, the nature of the services, and any use of external specialists.
